Following a thorough public tender process The City of Boroondara has selected Open Windows as their Contract Management software solution vendor.    Boroondara Council has begun implementing OpeN Windows CONTRACTS (PRO) which is a full enterprise contract lifecycle management solution, to address their contract management needs from contract inception, through delivery, review and resourcing.

Initially the City of Boroondara will use the software to manage up to 500 contracts with suppliers, with approximately 60 new contracts added each year.  Council also plans to incorporate leasing and property contracts into the system in the near future.

The Open Windows solution replaces a manual system that involved data entry into spreadsheets and an in-house database.  Council expects a huge increase in efficiencies from using the software, which will not only save valuable time but ensure the maximum value is delivered in agreements.

Ms. Helen Lanyon, The City of Boroondara's Director of Corporate Resources, states that "Open Windows met all our tender requirements and will certainly drive consistency and standardization of contract management process throughout the organisation." Detailed functionality such as Open Windows' Project Management capability were also key drivers in the decision making process to select the software.

Boroondara will integrate Open Windows CONTRACTS with their Document Management and Finance systems, and during the second phase of the implementation, they plan to roll it out for budgeting and forecasting of the Capital Works Program (using Open Windows PROJECTS).
