Open Windows Now Available for Purchase through MAV ICT & Professional Services Panel
Victorian councils can now purchase Open Windows Software faster, cheaper and easier through MAV, the legislated peak body for local government in Victoria.
Earlier this quarter, Open Windows became a panel member under MAV’s ICT Professional & Leasing Services panel (ES8111-2021), which provides councils with access to a certified panel of suppliers for services including Hardware, Infrastructure, and Supplier Partnerships.
“This arrangement reinforces Open Windows’ commitment to providing Victorian local government organisations not only with choice, but easy access to a long-term, council-specific solution providing significant benefits that can only be achieved with an end-to-end integrated system,” says Warren Shaw, Open Windows Director, Client Engagement.
Purchasing Open Windows through this panel, Shaw adds, ensures that councils can avoid implementing disparate systems to fulfil their procurement, sourcing, and contract management needs.
“Disparate systems reduce productivity and increase costs due to inconsistent data. Furthermore, additional training and support is required to support these systems, even if they have been interfaced in some way.”
“Councils who choose Open Windows Software avoid these issues due to a consistent user interface for end-to-end sourcing to contract lifecycle management, with a continuous feedback loop from lessons learnt helping to improve future procurement negotiations.”
For Victorian councils also managing significant capital works budgets, end-to-end processes underpinned by a system assisting with project and cashflow management is a necessity. Open Windows’ PROJECTS and BUDGETS modules are designed to service these needs.
“Projects typically consist of multiple suppliers and contracts, so it is critical that councils manage projects down to the individual contract and supplier level, otherwise project spend often escalates beyond budget,” Shaw says.
“Our solution reduces the risk associated with capital projects, highlighting potential supplier and contract performance issues before they escalate.”
“Procurement and project professionals can manage by exception and meet public commitments on time and within budget.”
Beyond the MAV panel, Open Windows Software is available for purchase through various procurement panels across Australia, including Local Buy in Queensland, the Victorian Government eServices Register, and the NSW ICT Services Scheme.
