Territory Governments Select Open Windows for Contract Management
Open Windows Software, Australia’s leading provider of contract lifecycle management IT systems, has signed contracts to implement enterprise wide software solutions for both the Northern Territory (NT) Government and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government to improve the management of their supplier contracts.
Northern Territory (NT) Government recently tendered for the supply of an Enterprise Contract Management System in order to centralise and automate their contract management, standardise processes, improve business intelligence and reduce supply side risk profiles. Open Windows has been selected due to the ability to provide an All of Government (AoG) solution for NT, enable a consistent approach to contract management activities and provide further support to the overall procurement lifecycle by interfacing with key existing systems.
Similarly, the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government tendered more recently for the development and implementation of a Capital Works Management system. The objectives of the new system included providing a single ‘source of truth’ for all information on construction projects and improving business efficiency through utilizing a single system for all contract, financial and project functionality with seamless integration into their financial systems for data reconciliation. The Open Windows solution was selected for the ability to provide a single enterprise solution to control, manage, forecast and report on the ACT capital works expenditure program and being available ‘out-of-the-box.’ A $3 million contract has been signed for the Contract Management Software and support services with work starting immediately.
Both governments will be implementing the latest version of Open Windows Software, Version 7.0. This latest software release includes a new modular procurement framework to help organisations manage strategic procurement, tendering and contract management activities to better manage complex tenders, large scale contracts and their critical supply lines supporting new large scale projects worth billions of dollars.
Open Windows is a privately owned Australian IT services company based in Melbourne since 1994, with over 150 clients across Australia and with staff also based in Sydney, Canberra, Perth, Brisbane and Hobart.
CEO, Adam McInnes, said, “We are delighted to be working with both the ACT Government and the NT Government. These recent deals demonstrate the flexibility of our contract management solution to help procurement and commercial management teams use a single solution to manage and develop capital works programs, tendering and contract management.”
Open Windows Software has a strong Australian Government client base due to the comprehensive features around probity and process, purpose-built to meet stringent Australian Government requirements. Open Windows software is used by over 150 organisations including over 55 Local Governments and whole-of-government arrangements within QLD, WA & SA State Governments.
The Chairman of Open Windows, Jeff Kennett, the former Premier of Victoria, added, “This is recognition of the strength of Open Windows contract management solution in the Australian Government market. The product is built and supported by an Australian organisation for Australian businesses. These recent sales demonstrate the significance and value of this against strong international competition.”
The implementation of Open Windows Software has just commenced in both ACT and NT.
