About the Webinar

Webinar Aired: Thursday 21st July

Duration: 40 mins + Q&A

Less than six months from now, the landscape for contracting directly with small suppliers will change dramatically for all procurement professionals currently using standard form contracts with small vendors. The Unfair Contract Terms Act 2016 (UCTA) includes new regulations to all template based contracts to purchase any goods and services from small suppliers (less than 20 employees) for contract values up to $1m.

Before 12th November 2016, three key questions need to be addressed by all professional buyers;

  1. Do you risk having UNFAIR contracts with your small suppliers after 12th November and not even knowing it?
  2. How should you be amending all your standard contracts with small suppliers before 12th November to become compliant with the new UCTA?
  3. What help will you need to get all your contracts compliant by the deadline?

This webinar is presented by Suzy Cairney, Senior partners at Holding Redlich, one of Australia’s top commercial law firm’s, providing a brief overview of the new Unfair Contract Terms Act, its implications and what it could mean for you.
